I took this beautiful photo of Mount Sorell while on the RYCT VDL Circumnavigation 22 Cruise.




It was whilst in Macquarie Harbour around late February, early March 2022. I was onboard my yacht Momentum, an 11.9m Adams Sayer which is from Sydney but was built in Tasmania by Malcolm Oates.


There were 20+ boats on the circumnavigation. It was extremely well organised and run with much thanks to the staff and organisers who supported the event.

This photo was tken a week later in Port Davey in Iola Bay looking back at Mount Rugby with Momentum in the foreground.


Thanks also to Tas Maritime for monitoring my journey and safety, while crossing the Bass Straight / Tasman Sea and down the Tasmania East Coast while travelling to and from Sydney.
